Now that he’s single, Chris Martin is ‘happy to be alive’ again

This is not a Clickhole parody. This is not a Clickhole parody. "“A few years ago I was in a low place in my life and was feeling kind of down and confused,” Martin said during the debut episode of 2DayFM’s “Rove & Sam” show (via Us Weekly). “Some friends gave me a book called ‘Man’s Search for Meaning,’ and a poem called ‘The Guest House’ by an Afghanistani poet [and] teacher, and those two things started me off on this whole journey that’s ended up a few years later now where I just feel so happy to be alive.”"

Why You Will Marry the Wrong Person

"What matters in the marriage of feeling is that two people are drawn to each other by an overwhelming instinct and know in their hearts that it is right. Indeed, the more imprudent a marriage appears (perhaps it’s been only six months since they met; one of them has no job or both are barely out of their teens), the safer it can feel. Recklessness is taken as a counterweight to all the errors of reason, that catalyst of misery, that accountant’s demand. The prestige of instinct is the traumatized reaction against too many centuries of unreasonable reason."

California Looking Less Like a Sure Thing for Hillary Clinton

"Mrs. Clinton’s lead in California has evaporated, going from seven percentage points over Mr. Sanders in March to two percentage points, within the margin of error, in a poll released Wednesday night by the nonpartisan Public Policy Institute of California. That has created the possibility of an embarrassing defeat here for the Clinton campaign and complicated Mrs. Clinton’s plans to turn her focus to the general election against the presumptive Republican nominee, Donald J. Trump."

The LDS Church and Higher Education: The Case for Divestment

"And this is perhaps the most important reason that the Church should consider divestment. When I started at BYU in 1984, the acceptance rate was 96%. Almost everybody who wanted to go got in. The rate is now 47% and falling fast, while the academic profile is going through the roof.[2] This means that some of the wealthiest, brightest, and most academically prepared LDS students in the country—the same students who already have a wealth of educational opportunities—have their tuition subsidized by the tithes of the Church members—a majority of whom do not live in the United States and do not have even theoretical access to Church-sponsored education."
