Harajuku is the area right around Tokyo’s Harajuku station, between Shinjuku and Shibuya on the Yamanote Line. This is where you’ll see the most extreme of the Japanese teenage culture and fashion. On Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 to 5:00, the main street through Ginza is closed off for walking only. This is a great place to come to see the upscale side of Tokyo.
